Enter Semesters SGPA & Credits
Input your SGPA and credit load for both odd and even semesters of the academic year.
Official YGPA Formula:
YGPA = (Odd_SGPA * Odd_Credits + Even_SGPA * Even_Credits) / (Odd_Credits + Even_Credits)Percentage (%) = (YGPA - 0.75) * 10Calculated Output
1. Odd Sem Index: 8.00 * 20 = 160.00
2. Even Sem Index: 8.00 * 20 = 160.00
3. YGPA: (160.00 + 160.00) / (20 + 20) = 8.00
4. Subtract 0.75: 8.00 - 0.75 = 7.25
5. Multiply by 10: 7.25 * 10 = 72.5%
Why is YGPA crucial for MAKAUT Students?
Yearly Grade Point Average (YGPA) is the official metric that represents your academic standing for a full academic year. It is highly critical for students applying for West Bengal government scholarships like the Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means (SVMCM) scholarship.
Under SVMCM rules, to renew your scholarship for the subsequent year, you must pass all papers in the promotional exams and secure at least a 60% aggregate percentage in the academic year. Since MAKAUT does not issue direct yearly percentage marks, your YGPA is calculated first, and then converted to percentage using the `(YGPA - 0.75) * 10` formula. A YGPA of 6.75 is the exact equivalent of 60.0%.
